Do you do overnight care in my home?

At this time, I am not able to do overnight care in your or my home.

What kind of training do you have?

I am Fear Free Certified and I also have Pet CPR and First Aid Training.

Can my friend or relative bring their dog over for you to watch

also?

Typically care is for the animals that live fulltime in your household and is not to be combined with other people's pets.  However, in special circumstances with pre-approval and an additional fee I might be able to.... let's talk if this is something you are entertaining.

Can I have my friend do part of the services?

​​​

If I am doing vacation care, I prefer to be the only person providing services for the animals.  I don't share animal care responsibilities due to misunderstandings and miscommunication.  My insurance also doesn't allow it.​​​

​​What type of animals will you care for?

​​​​​

I have an assortment of animals I have cared for.  Along with dogs and cats I have owned or cared for horses, goats, cows, chickens, axolotls, geckos, parrots, hamsters, and rats.  I am sure I am forgetting some.  If it isn't on the list and you can give me detailed instructions, I will gladly care for your critter.​

When will you arrive to care for my pets?

When working with animals, expect the unexpected! Whether it’s a spilled water bowl, a scared cat hiding, or a messy goat pen, each day brings its own surprises. I manage multiple clients and your pets’ well-being is my top priority, no matter the challenges we face!  With that said, I work with in windows of time vs specific times.  I try my best though to keep in mind the needs of each situation and schedule and make sure not to leave anyone waiting too long.

What will you do if my dog won't let you enter my house/yard/kennel?

If I enter your home and your dog or other animal is protective and will not let me enter, I will try and coax with food (if I am allowed to give treats) and non-threatening behaviors however if I am not able to enter the premises safely you are still responsible for the visit, and we will talk about ideas to move forward to make him or her comfortable. Having a local person who can be called upon who is familiar with the animal and the animal is familiar with them is required in the event I am unable to access the premises to feed and care for the animal(s).

Do you do litter boxes and poop scooping while you are caring for my pets?

I am happy to poop scoop your yard and clean your litter boxes as long as it has accumulated while I am caring for them.  If I arrive and the litter box is full and unsanitary I will be performing a full clean out at an additional charge of $25. plus, the cost of litter if applicable.

​Will you water my plants?

​​​​​​

Sure!!  I will follow your directions on time and amount, but I am not responsible for any issues that might arise.

When do I pay for services?

​​​​​​​

In order for me to reserve your vacation spot, I will need a 50% deposit.  Balance is due prior to commencement of pet sit.

Hobby Farm Extras​

As part of my Hobby Farm sitting services, I offer INDOOR stall and INDOOR pen cleaning during my stay, ensuring a tidy environment for your animals. Please note that I can only handle waste accumulated while I'm there, as long as you provide the necessary tools.  I won't be responsible for messes left before my arrival. If you're interested in additional services for outdoors, feel free to discuss it with me! For safety reasons, if I am using a wheelbarrow or similar cart, the path should be reasonably firm and level.  Extremely soft surfaces such as deep mud, sand or heavily rutted ground can make it difficult to maneuver the cart and may pose a risk of injury.

To ensure smooth care, water sources should be easily accessible without the need to drag long hoses under and over fenced areas.  This helps me provide efficient and safe services for both animal and property.
